Jacob Gibler

Jacob Gibler was born about 1745 in Maryland or Germany. He died 1813 in Somerset County, PA.  Jacob Gibler pledged the Patriot Oath of Fidelity and Support in 1778.

 Jacob married Gertrude Weinbrenner about 1765 in Maryland. She died before 1813 in Somerset County, PA. They were the parents of at least eleven children. Their graves have not been found.

Historical Note: D. B Zimmerman, builder of the Zimmerman Mansion, now the Georgian Inn, in Somerset, Somerset County, PA. was the great-grandson of Jacob and Gertrude (Weinbrenner) Gibler.
