David Crider

David Crider, Kreider or Cryder, was a trumpeter in the 13th Regiment of the Continental Line Drangoon’s Company (Cavalry). David Crider was born 05 March 1749 in Manheim, Germany. He died 23 February 1826 near Salisbury, Somerset County, PA. He married, about 1787, Mary, maiden name not known, who was born 28 July 1769, in America or Germany. She died in Somerset County, PA, 28 January 1845. She is buried in the Union Cemetery (old), Salisbury, Somerset County, PA, on her son-in-laws lot, John Faidley. David is buried beside his daughter in the same cemetery, not on the same lot as Mary.
